charming hotel stay
helpful staff great linen
the front desk staff was especially helpful and efficient. breakfast was a pleasant surprise with many choices available. i found the linen to be of great quality, a detail i appreciate. check-in was smooth.
i did notice that the soap provided in the room was quite basic.

Decent Stay with a Few Misses
cold room outdated bathroom
I encountered a couple of issues. The room was quite cold upon arrival, requiring me to use an additional electric heater (!). The shower was also not particularly comfortable. I found the lack of hot water at 10 PM inconvenient (the electric boiler seemed to have run out).

excellent experience
quick process clean room
i found the check-in process easy and quick. i received a complimentary upgrade to a very very comfy and tidy room. i especially appreciated the unexpected upgrade and the overall cleanliness.
The bathroom needed some modernisation. The bath looked worn. a walk-in shower would improve the space. the bathroom did not feel superior despite paying extra for a superior room.

faulty air conditioning non-functional telephone
The room lacked modern conveniences, I couldn't find modern charging points near the bed. The air conditioning seemed faulty. It cycled on and off constantly, it made the room uncomfortably stuffy. I also discovered the in-room telephone didn't work, I needed to walk to reception to report it.

surprised by pleasant touches
ample parking easy access
the location was very convenient and offered ample parking. access to the city center was easy and the premises included a bar and a restaurant. i found the front of house personnel wonderful, especially akash.
i found that the server, kyle, was rude and not helpful. he promised modifications to the food, then claimed he did not. he provided no check to ensure the food was okay and left us for an hour after.
